Look at this! I thought I would try something I've been thinking about for a while.Constantly on the hunt for new classic car investments, I saw a local utility worker for the power company, stopped, and asked him if he knew of any old classic cars in his territory. You know, these types of workers go where you and I don't EVER get to see. Power lines go to old barns and warehouses and they see and talk to people daily. Imagine the old cars he must know about! And there are thousands of these workers to approach that cover literally the whole country!
Anyway, I approached him and asked if he knew of any musclecars, classics, antiques...I was trying to use the term he recognized the best for this type of car. He said, "Yes, I do as a matter of fact! I know where a bunch are! What's in it for me?, he asked. If I see this car and it works out to be a good deal for me, I'll give you a finder's fee. Voila! Instant bird dog!(One who gets a fee for referring leads to me that turn into done-deals.)
He proceeded to tell me of an old car he sees monthly on his route. "I think it's a Porsche". My eyes widened. "A Porsche?", I said. "It's down this road a few mile, then left at the 4-way stop..." I got his contact information and told him to call me with anything he thought I could use. He said he would and I made sure for him to ask his co-workers if THEY knew where any more are. Boom, I instantly covered 2 counties in that area! I gave him my card and took off.
This car restored will bring over $40,ooo. The guy said he'd take $5,000, maybe less! All original parts and motor.
I will post updates.
